Ahh, that old Vanagon A/C system. Us owners of Vanagon Westfalia's know how difficult it is for this system to cool down your cabin quickly on a hot 100 degree day, especially when your Vanagon has been sitting in the sun all day.  When it finally starts cooling things down the back of your head is cold and your forehead is sweaty; not a very good design.  Non Westies have it made. The A/C vents are on the roof and come all the way to your forehead.

There really isn't a better way to get your A/C system cooler than just keeping it maintained.

Here is a helpful hint for Westy owners!  If your A/C system has been serviced and is blowing out to specs, try this to bring air to the front a little more. Purchase a small oscillating 12 volt fan and mount it right behind the front seats where the pop-top handle is. This quick and simple step really helps to bring the cool air to the front of your vehicle...you'll be amazed!
